All right... you all remember the part in Order 06 where Luke thinks he can win in a one-on-one fight with Alucard and ends up as a bloody smear on the staircase, right? (Sure you do.) Anyway, while I was watching that episode for about the millionth time, I realized that Jan never fights one-on-one like that with anyone. Ever. My friend Marcy and I have had lengthly debates about who would win if it were Jan versus Walter, but of course we will never know. So I have created this page to speculate about this very thing: who will win?
The Contenders: Jan Valentine versus...
 | Seras Victoria Who wins?: Jan Why: As a chipped vampire and a fledging vampire, it's my thinking that normally Jan and Seras would be about evenly matched for strength. The problem is that Seras doesn't drink blood, which makes her weaker. Jan's also pretty damn fast. (And yes, she did tackle him at one point, but Jan freed himself... eventually.) |
 | Integra Hellsing Who wins?: Jan Why: Jan is a vampire. Integra is a human. Enough said. And before anyone starts whining about "But she shot him in the face!" I will remind you that being shot in the face didn't kill him. Integra wasn't going to let him die until he answered her questions, so she wasn't shooting to kill. (Of course, he set himself on fire before she could get anything out of him. ^_^) |
 | Walter C. Ddollneazz/Dornez/Alfred/whatever his name is Who wins?: Walter... by a strand of killer floss. Why: This one was very tricky. On the on hand, you have Walter, the Angel of Death. Although he's not quite as sharp as he once was, he's still really good with the wires (not to mention the bullet-dodging.) Then you have Jan, an artificial vampire. He doesn't have all the abilites of a true vampire, but the ones he does have put him even with Walter. This one would go on for a long time, but Walter would probably win, eventually. (I will add that Jan would have blown Walter's head off in Order 06 if Seras hadn't stopped him.) |
 | Alucard Who wins?: Alucard Why: Alucard beats all. Period. |
 | Dark Walter(manga only) Who wins?: Dark Walter... maybe. Why: Because for one thng they don't even exist in the storyline at the same time. Even if they did, both Jan and Dark Walter work for Millenium, so it's unlikely they get into conflict in the first place. And because Dark Walter is so new new to the story, we don't know the full extent of his abilities yet. Based on his appearance (a younger, evil Walter) I'd say Dark Walter wins. |
